Hail the BMW GS
"Taken Tuesday morning in upstate New York. The conditions, if only to prove that this man has cojones de fuego, were 5 degrees Fahrenheit, 30-mph winds, and ice. Hail the BMW GS!"

Somewhere in the Florida Keys
Here's two poor quality videos of a spot just off US 1 in the Keys. I had the camera tucked in my jacket on my chest, so the video was shot through my windscreen. Not great but it will give you some idea of the terrain. These are not edited at all, so it takes a while to get the gear on and the bike rolling at the start of the videos.

TKC's still have some life...
The Continental TKC 80's survived the trip, both the trail and gravel
and 2600 miles of slab, in good shape. I am impressed and will
probably get several thousand miles more out of them. Amazing
considering the terrain we covered and the weight of the 1150 GS.

8 days ago I was in the falling snow/sleet on my birthday at 13,000 feet on a Colorado mountain top. Saturday, I was in the high desert in Moab, Utah. This morning I had coffee in the French Quarter of New Orleans and by the afternoon was standing in the white sands of a Florida beach. Tomorrow night I will be with my wife in Vero Beach and the next day back in Key West.

Le Cirque Hotel
Thanks to my teammate and wife Colleen, I landed in a great hotel for
my night in NOLA. Nicest place I have stayed on the trip.

$60 and I parked my bike on the hotel grounds between the two hotel
buildings. Saved me $20 for parking.

Leaving Fort Worth/Dallas
It's 6:15am and I am heading into Dallas early rush hour traffic.
First day back to work after a holiday. I am wearing my bright yellow
rain jacket with reflective striping, even though it's like a hot oven
with it on, because you can see me a mile away with it on.
